Goan Restiau   (b. 2000, Belgium) lives and works in Antwerp.

He studied Fine Arts at Sint-Lucas Antwerp. But due to disagreements with the theoretical curriculum, he chose not to pursue the diploma. After this, he continued his studies in the DKO program at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.

 

His work is characterized by the use of bright colours connected to emotion and states of consciousness.
Goan uses abstract forms to represent mental and emotional concepts, aiming to give the viewer a direct experience without relying on clear visual definition.

 

In his practice, the work functions as a transformational object, where the transformation does not just happen in making it but also in looking at it.
